About First Gen Feeler

hey there!
Meet Victoria
Therapist, Speaker, & Consultant
Victoria Cortez (she/her), LMFT, is the founder of First Gen Feeler, a mental health brand and practice devoted to helping first-generation individuals break cycles, build boundaries, and heal from the inside out. As a licensed therapist, speaker, and workshop facilitator, Victoria creates compassionate and culturally attuned spaces that support both individual and collective healing.
Through individual therapy, group support, and community-centered workshops, Victoria helps clients navigate the emotional weight of people-pleasing, generational expectations, inner child wounds, and burnout. She brings a down-to-earth, relatable approach rooted in her lived experience as a first-gen Latina, approaching her work with humor, authenticity, and a deep respect for each person’s story.
When she’s not working, Victoria prioritizes creativity, rest, and joy. You can often find her working on music projects, exploring new hobbies, spending time with loved ones, or traveling in search of fun unique experiences (and good food). She’s currently in her “running era” and enjoys baking sourdough bread from her starter affectionately named Doughpamine.
For the Ones Who Carry So Much
Victoria partners with workplaces and organizations to support mental health, staff connection, and sustainable self-care- especially for teams serving BIPOC, first-gen, and helping professional communities. Her workshops blend storytelling, nervous system education, and actionable tools to inspire growth and prevent burnout.
As a clinician, Victoria specializes in working with first-gen individuals and helping professionals navigate anxiety, boundary challenges, family dynamics, and identity exploration. She supports clients through a trauma-informed, culturally responsive lens that encourages curiosity, self-compassion, and empowerment. Her work is dedicated to helping others not just survive- but truly feel and thrive.
